Irish Construction Firms Hiring

Irish construction companies took on additional staff in January 2024, with employment increasing for the second month in a row, and at a solid pace that was the fastest in almost a year. A new report by the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) highlights rising labour costs driven by a shortage of manpower as the main challenge for construction projects. It also warned that the State’s housing targets, which are due to be revised upwards, will require an additional supply of construction workers.
